Dubai Run 2026: date, routes and tips
Dubai Run is the biggest event of the month. It takes place on Sunday 22 November 2026, starting at 6:30am. Runners choose a 5 km or a 10 km route on Sheikh Zayed Road. Everyone must finish by 9am, when the road reopens to traffic. The 2025 edition set a record with 307,000 participants.
- Register early. Registration is free but required, and it opens on the Dubai Run website a few weeks before the event.
- Take the Metro. Roads around Sheikh Zayed Road close early. Red Line stations along Sheikh Zayed Road, such as Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall and Financial Centre, are the easiest way in.
- Pick the 5 km route with children. It is flat, wide and walkable. The 10 km route suits regular runners.
- Arrive before 6am. Waves start in order, and the start area gets crowded quickly.
Dubai Ride 2026
Dubai Ride opens the month on Sunday 1 November. Cyclists ride a 4 km family route around Dubai Mall, Dubai Opera and Burj Khalifa, or a faster 12 km circuit on Sheikh Zayed Road. In 2025, 40,327 cyclists took part, up from 37,130 in 2024.
Where are the Dubai Fitness Challenge villages?
Three free fitness villages run for the whole challenge. They offer group classes, sports, children’s activities and food.
- Kite Beach: the largest village, by the sea in Umm Suqeim. Expect beach workouts, running groups and water sports.
- Zabeel Park: central and easy to reach by Metro, close to Downtown and Karama. It also hosts the Dubai Yoga finale.
- Al Warqa’a Park: the village for residents of Mirdif, Al Warqa’a and the eastern side of Dubai.
More than 23 community fitness hubs add free classes in neighbourhoods and business districts. Check the official app for the hub nearest to you.

- Dubai Marina and JBR: the Marina Walk loop and the beach at JBR, both flat and well lit.
- JLT: a quiet running loop around the lakes and parks, with gyms in most towers.
- Dubai Hills Estate: a large central park, cycle paths and an 18-hole golf course.
- Arabian Ranches and Damac Hills: quiet streets, community parks and a short drive to the Al Qudra cycle track.
- Mirdif and Al Warqa’a: villas close to Mushrif Park and the Al Warqa’a Park fitness village.
- Downtown Dubai and Business Bay: the Dubai Water Canal walkway, and the Dubai Run and Dubai Ride routes on your doorstep.
