Motor City Area Guide
Motor City is a Union Properties-developed community off Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, built around the Dubai Autodrome motorsport circuit and split into two main residential zones: Uptown Motor City (apartments) and Green Community Motor City (villas and townhouses). The automotive theme runs through the community's identity, from the Autodrome itself to the surrounding retail and dining districts.
It's a smaller, quieter community relative to Dubai's larger master-plans, with a mix of established apartment buildings and villa clusters that give it a settled, mid-market character rather than the higher density of nearby JVC or JVT.
Getting around
Motor City has no metro station today; a metro link has been floated as part of Union Properties' longer-term development plans for the area but isn't built yet. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road runs alongside the community, giving reasonably direct access across Dubai by car, which is currently the main way residents get around.
Living in Motor City
The Dubai Autodrome and the automotive theme set Motor City apart — go-karting, motorsport events, and car-culture retail alongside the more typical parks and schools. Green Community Motor City offers a quieter villa/townhouse option, while Uptown Motor City's apartments suit a more mid-market budget than nearby JVC or JVT. It's a smaller, settled community rather than one still rapidly filling in.
